Tivoli Ballet presented an exciting new version of H.C. Andersen's classic fairy tale, “The Snow Queen” in December 2019, with over 30 dancers and live music in Tivoli's Concert Hall. HM Queen Margrethe was the creative force behind costumes and decorations, and Oh Land created the score, with choreography by the award-winning Yuri Possokhov.

Tivoli's director Lars Liebst says: "It is not every day that you have a creative team consisting of a queen, a leading musician and a Russian choreographer. There is no doubt that the Queen, Oh Land and Yuri Possokhov as a team will create a compelling ballet that speaks to a wide audience."

The Rain

The first Danish Netflix series ever launched in Denmark on May 4, 2018. "The Rain" is a dystopian series in which civilization, as we know it, has disappeared.

To set the tone for this eerie show, Netflix asked Oh Land to give the Danish national anthem a twist. In the song, entitled "Der Var et Yndigt Land" (It's a lovely country), the title phrase has thus turned into "There was a lovely country", and Oh Land's arrangement turns it very dark to underscore the doomsday vibe.

Watermusic

In 2017 Oh Land and a team of international artists transformed Denmark’s Randers Harbor into a magical universe where the harbor's silos, cranes and the water become the setting for mythical story featuring dance, aerial acrobatics, multimedia and music featuring Oh Land as Queen of the Sea. The result is a sensational audio-visual journey inspired by the story of the barges, which, back in the 18th and 19th centuries, transported goods via waterways on the river Gudenå.

Askepot

Copenhagen's historic Tivoli Gardens continued its long tradition of fairytale ballets when it presented “Askepot” (Cinderella) in 2016. The production featured a new artistic partnership between choreographer Yuri Possokhov, Oh Land and set designer Queen Margrethe (Queen of Denmark), who designed her seventh set for Tivoli.

The accompanying album features “Not Going”, which was featured on Spotify’s “The Most Beautiful Songs in the World” for many months following it’s release.

The Ship

THE SHIP is the title of Nikolaj Kunsthal’s new venture for both children and adults that has it's world premiere on Wednesday 23 2017 at 3pm. Created by visual artist Eske Kath and musician Nanna Fabricius Øland aka Oh Land.
