Brahms Requiem in Aalborg

On 12 of April 2017, soprano Sofie Jensen, baritone Lars Møller and conductor Michael Balke will perform Brahms' "Ein deutsches Requiem" at a sold out concert hall in "Musikkens Hus" in Aalborg with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra.

 
Susanna Andersson joins Ascolta Artists
The well established Swedish coloratura soprano Susanna Andersson have joined the roster of Ascolta Artists.
Her international career has among others taken her to Opera Houses such as Oper Leipzig, Teatro Colon, ENO, Göteburg Opera, Opera Northe, Danish National Opera, Deutsches National Theater Weimar and Staatstheater Nürnberg as well as symphonic- and lied concerts all over Europe.
Her repertoire stretches from Adina, Gilda, Oscar and Lucia over Zerlina, Ilia, Blondchen and Susanna to Zerbinetta and Sophie as well as a wide range of modern operas.
 
Elena Mikhailenko as Gioconda
The Russian soprano Elena Mikhailenko has her role- country- and stage debut in the tItle role of Amilcare Ponchielli's opera "La Gioconda" tonight (25/03) at Malmö Opera in Sweden.
 
Staffan Valdemar Holm is behind the staging and Alberto Hold Garrido conducts Malmö Opera's Choir and Orchestra.
Further performances of Ms. Mikhailenko on 29/3; 4,7,29/4;20,31/5; 03/06 2017.
 
Moskalenko debuts in France

 

Russian coloratura soprano Svetlana Moskalenko has her French debut as Queen Chemakha in Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Golden Cockerel" at Opéra National du Lorraine on 12 of March 2017, alongside a top international cast, conducted by Rani Calderon and staged by Laurent Pelly.
The opera is a co-production between Opéra national de Lorraine, La Monnaie / De Munt and Teatro Real de Madrid.
Further performances on 14, 16, 19 and 21 of March 2017.
 
Duus and Kanstrup in Viaggio

Danish bass baritone and baritone Simon Duus and Teit Kanstrup sings Don Prudenzio and Antonio in G. Rossini's "Il viaggio a Reims" at Royal Opera in Copenhagen.

Premiere is on 12 of March followed by further performances on 16, 19, 26, 29 of March and 02, 05, 08, 11, 25 of April 2017.
 
 
International top mezzo soprano joins Ascolta Artists

The international top mezzo Oksana Volkova has joined Ascolta Artists.

Despite her young age she has already appeared in top opera houses such as La Scala (Milano), The Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Tearo Colón (Buenos Aires), Teatro di San Carlo (Napoli), Opéra Nice (Côte d'Azur) and NCPA in Beijing,

Among her highly recognized roles are Carmen, Santuzza, Marguerite (La damnation du Faust), Dalila, Amneris and Fenena.

Hermann and Otello for Benedikt in Budapest

The international top tenor Kristian Benedikt had his role- and house debut as Hermann at Hungarian National Opera (Magyar Állami Operaház) on 3rd of March 2017. Further performances on 5 and 9 of March.

Mr. Benedikt continues at Hungarian National Opera with performances as Otello on 24/03, 30/03 and 01/04 2017.
 

Danish premiere for Sofie Jensen and Johanne Thisted Højlund in "Nothing"
On the 4th of February, Sofie Jensen and Johanne Thisted Højlund sings the roles of Agnes and Ursula at Danish National Opera in Aarhus, in the Danish premier David Bruce's opera "Nothing" based on Janes Teller's youth novel in a coproduction with Glyndebourne and Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

Further performances on 5th and 8th of February 2017.
 
 
Busy concert January for the Artists of Ascolta Artists
January 2017, is a very busy month for the artists of Ascolta Artist.
Engagements include:
Opening of Aarhus as Cultural City of Europe with Beethoven 9 and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra on 05, 06 and 08 with Elena-Batoukova Kerl as mezzo, Torsten Kerl as Tenor and Simon Duus as bass-baritone.
Norman Reinhardt (Tenor) stars as guest soloist with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in 9 New year concerts from 05-14,
Michael Balke (Conductor) safely guides Copenhagen Philharmonic through 6 New Year concerts until 13 of January.
Simon Duus (Bass Baritone) is the host and singer alongside Sofie Elkjær Jensen (Soprano) at the New Year concerts at Royal Opera Copenhagen.
Luthando Qave has his debut as Marcello in "La Bohème" at Royal Opera Stockholm alongside Yana Kleyn as Mimì, who also debuts as Mimì at Royal Opera in Copenhagen.
Sofie Jensen sings New Year concerts with Jysk Musikteater in Silkeborg.
Miina-Liisa Värelä finish her production of Rosalinde in "Fledermaus" at Finnish National Opera, and Magnus Vigilius sings Alfred 8 times from 12-20 with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.
Teit Kanstrup has his role- and house debut at Royal Opera in Copenhagen on 24/01 as Owen Heart in the modern opera "Dead Man Walking"

Soprano Soula Parassidis joins Ascolta Artists

Internationally renowned soprano Soula Parassidis joins Ascolta Artists.
Renowned for her interpretations of Vanessa in Barber's "Vanessa", Jehnny in Brecht's "Mahagonny", Vitellia in Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito" and Gräfin Madaleine in Richard Strauss' "Capriccio" in renowned houses such as Oper Leipzig, Nürnberg Opera, Teatro Massimo Palermo and Opéra-Théatre de Metz Métropole, she is now looking forward to expand her repertoire to the full lyric soprano fach such as Chrysotemis in Elektra, Salome, Elsa in Meistersinger and Eva in Lohengrin.

 
Lars Møller at Royal Opera Copenhagen in Mahagonny

Danish baritone Lars Møller returns to Royal Opera in Copenhagen as Alaskawolf Joe in "Mahagonny"

Premiere is on 22nd of November followed by 14 performances on 22,29/11; 2/12 2017; 4,8,12,15,19,22/1; 4,9,25/2; 2,5/3.
 
 
Reinhardt jumps in as Nemorino

American tenor Norman Reinhardt jumps in as Nemorino at Opéra National du Rhin as Nemorino in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore.

First performance is on 17/11 followed by performances on 25th and 27th of November 2017.

 
Duus and Vis in Maskerade
The Dutch mezzo soprano Francine Vis has her debut as Pernille in Carl Nielsen's Maskerade at the Royal Opera Copenhagen,  alongside the Danish baritone Simon Duus as Henrik.
 
Premiere is on 14/11 followed by further performances on tour 15,17,19,22,23,25,28,29,30/11 and 02,03/12 touring all over Denmark.
Great season for Sofie Jensen

The Danish soprano Sofie Jensen opens a great 16/17 season on 27 of October 2016, as Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème at Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen. 13 further performances follows during the season.

This signifies her first year as a soloist in the ensemble and other productions at the Royal Opera includes Susanna in Nozze di Figaro.

Furthermore she sings Agnes in the Danish premiere of "Nothing" written by Janne Teller and composed by David Bruce at Danish National Opera and tours Denmark with many concerts.

 

Top tenor joins Ascolta Artists

Ascolta Artists is very proud to announce European Representation of the internationally renowned American tenor Norman Reinhardt.

Considered one of the biggest talents of his generation he has established himself in major houses such as San Francisco Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, Berlin State Opera, Leipzig Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Garsington Opera, Theater an der Wien, Salzburg Festival and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in roles such as Alfredo, Tamino, Lensky, Nemorino, Tony and Tom Rakewell.
 
His 16/17 season consists of debut at the Whitsun Festival and Salzburger Festspiele, alongside Cecilia Bartoli and Gustavo Dudamel as Tony in West Side Story, debut as Pollione in Norma (also with Bartoli) at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Baden Baden Festival, Leicester in Elisabetta regina d'Inghilterra in Theater an der Wien and Versailles and Lucanio in Ariodante in Monte Carlo, Salzburg and Whitsun Festival.
 
Major debut for Magnus Vigilius as Boris Grigorjevič
Danish tenor Magnus Vigilius has a very important debut as Boris Grigorjevič in Katya Kabanova on the 07/10 2016.

The performance takes place in In National Theatre Brno, the house of which Leoš Janáček composed the opera and is directed by world famous Robert Carsen, conducted by Ondrej Olos.

Cenerentola at Danish National Opera with Christel Elisabeth Smith and Johanne Højlund
On the 07/10 2016 Christel Elisabeth Smith (as Clorinda) and Johanne Højlund (as Tisbe) have debuts in G. Rossini's Cenerentola with Danish National Opera at Alison Concert Hall in Sønderborg.
 

The tour continues all over Denmark with the 5 regional symphony orchestras all together 16 performances:
7,13,28,29/10; 4,5,8,9,10,12,13,21,22,24/11; 2,3/12 2016

 

Very important debut for Mo. Mastrangelo at Bolshoi Theatre
 On the 02/10 2016, Mo Fabio Mastrangelo conducts the final of the prestigious "Competitzione dell` Opera 2016"  at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and on the 05/10 he conducts the winners of the competition in Linzåat a gala concert with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
 
This also marks Mo. Mastrangelo's important debut at Bolshoi, the last of the big Opera Houses and Orchestras who will now enjoy his conducting skills.
The Competition also celebrates it's 20 years anniversary at this occasion.

 

Simon Duus becomes permanent member of the soloist ensemble Royal Opera in Copenhagen
It is with great pride that Ascolta Artists announces that Simon Duus becomes permanent member of the soloist ensemble Royal Opera in Copenhagen from the 17/18 season.
Already considered the biggest bass-baritone talent of his generation in Denmark, he is meant to cover a wide spectre of roles at the Royal Opera.
In this way Royal Opera Copenhagen continues it strategy to develope the biggest Danish talents who have been part of the Opera Academy in Copenhagen and strengthens their own ensemble at the same time.
Simon Duus is 32 years old and sing in this season Henrik in "Maskerade" and in "Il viaggio a Reims" at Royal Opera in Copenhagen.
 
More success for Conny Thimander
The Swedish tenor Conny Thimander enjoys more success after his Ferrando (Così van tutte) at Confidencen in Stockholm.
In the fall he will sing in "Schnee Königin" at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Lindoro (Italiana in Algeria) at Baden Baden and Min bror är Don Juan in Mannheim.
In the spring of 2017 he joins Malmö Opera as Sandon in Bolmdahl's "Aniara"
