Biography

Svetlana Moskalenko was born in 1986 in Georgievsk. In 2012 she finished Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory Rimsky- Korsakov from the class of professor Tamara D. Novichenko.
 
Among her future engagements - Königin der Nacht (Der Zauberflöte) at Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck and Opéra national du Rhin. And her recet engagements include Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor)at Theater Basel, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opera Montreal, Lakmè at Royal Opera House Muscat, Königin der Nacht at Volksoper Wien and Opéra national de Lorraine, Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio a Rheims) at Bolshoi Opera, Eudoxie (La Juive) at Michailovsky Theatre, Die Zauberflöte with Komische Oper Berlin, at Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Lakmé by Delibes at Malmö Opera in Sweden.
 
In the season 2016/17 she sang Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), Musetta (La boheme), Violetta (Traviata) and Oscar (Ballo in maschera) at Mikhailovsky Theatre, debuted as Giulietta in Bellini’s I Capuleti e I Montecchi in Yakutsk and sang Queen Shemakha in the Golden Cockerel by Rimsky-Korsakov.
 
Since 2011 she has been working at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. In her repertoire such roles as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), Musetta (La boheme), Princess Eudoxie (La juive), Marfa (Tsar’s Bride), Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and Norina (Don Pasquale). She has participated in concert tours to China and Japan.
 
Among her numerous prizes of vocal competitions are the 2nd prize at International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015 (Russia), 1st prize at International vocal Competition “Opera without Borders” (2015, Russia), 2nd prize at International vocal Competition named after by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (2015, Russia), 2nd Prize at the International Vocal competition Le Grand Prix de L’Opera (2014, Romania).
