Biography

Fabian Düberg is a young Swedish tenor who is quickly getting recognition for his singing and acting talents alike.

He received his bachelor in Stockholm and is currently in his Master studies at the prestigious MDW in Wien. Alongside his studies he has made his debut as Monostatos (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte) at the Royal Swedish Opera, acted in the ensemble of Jedermann at the Salzburger Festspiele two consecutive years and is preparing the male lead in Malmö Opera's production of Kronbruden premiering in the fall of 2023.

His future and recent engagements include Mats (Kronbruden by T. Rangström) at Malmö Opera, Wickham (Pride and Prejudice by D. Nelson) at Norrlandsoperan and the role of Truffaldino (The Love for Three Oranges) at Theatre Bremen, where currently Fabian is a part of the ensemble.
Among the roles he has performed are Basilio (Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro), Malcolm (Verdi’s Macbeth), Scaramuccio and Tanzmeister (Strauss’ Armande auf Naxos).

Coming from an acting family (his grandfather can be seen in some films by Ingmar Bergman), Fabian was in a matter of speaking raised on stage but is the first one to establish himself as a classical singer.

He has been steadily employed by the houses he has guested and has received praise from every director he has ever worked with. His goal is to bring modern theater into opera in all projects he undertakes yet always prioritizing the music.

Apart from opera, Fabian can be heard in concerts, recitals and oratorios.
