Biography

Tae Jeong Hwang, a Korean bass, first pursued studies in lyric singing at Kyeongwon University before honing his abilities in Russia under the renowned baritone G. Zastavny at the Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov. He continued to refine his skills in Italy, studying with the acclaimed bass B. Giaiotti. Along his academic journey, he achieved recognition in numerous international competitions.
 
Making his debut in 2006 in Italy, Hwang has graced illustrious stages, portraying notable roles such as Colline in La Boheme, Ramfis in Aida, Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Zaccaria in Nabucco.
 

From 2018 onward, he has been an integral chorus member at The Royal Danish Theatre, while also highlighting his prowess as a soloist. Hwang particularly distinguished himself as Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata and Alidoro in La Cenerentola
