Korean Soprano Celine Mun is a graduate of Yonsei University and MDW (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna). She did her vocal studies with KS Krassimira Stoyanova and KS Daniela Fally. She made her house debut in the 2022/23 season as Blumenmädchen in Parsifal at the Wiener Staatsoper. In addition, she had her leading role debuts in Austria and South Korea such as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Musetta in La Bohème and Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte. She performed concerts at the Wiener Konzerthaus and Musikverein Wien.
Celine took part in the renowned Verbier Festival Academy Atelier Lyrique. She gave song recitals, concerts and performed Opera Hänsel und Gretel.
She was awarded Thierry Mermod Prize by the festival, given to the most promising young singer.
Emerging on stage with extensive repertoire, Celine has won prestigious competitions not only in the South Korea, but also in Europe and the USA, including the 1st prize of 5th Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition in New York, the 1st prize of 4th France Music Competition in Paris, the 3rd prize of 20th Ada Sari competition in Poland, the 3rd prize of 11th Lyrical Competition Salvatore Licitra in Milano, and the 3rd prize of 12th International Singing Competition IMMLING in Germany etc.
Celine had her operatic training in the Hannover Staatsoper's program organised by Yonsei University in 2013 and 2016, where she received intensive voice coaching, performance techniques, staging experience, and performed various opera gala concerts.
