...As I wrote in my introduction, the theatre has chosen a strong team of singers for this production, and it was a special delight for me to experience Cecilia Lund Tomter unfold in the role as Marcellina. I heard her sing at the Opera Academy Galla Concert in the spring, where she made a big impression, not least because of her emotional intensity. In The Marriage of Figaro she showed that she also has a big talent for comedy, and I hope that we as an audience will get many more opportunities to enjoy her artistry, not just her talent for the stage but also her beautiful, dark mezzo-soprano with its warm glow.
